On the 15th April’07 an eye camp was organized at Hempur by the Abhijeet group. The specialist Doctors came from Daltonganj. Almost 150 patients were treated in this camp. On the same time patients were screened for Cataract for the future camp. |

A health camp was organized on 15 May’07 at Hempur village near the Hempur Health Sub-Center.. Almost 650 patients were benefited from the camp. The camp was inaugurated by the CS (Latehar) Dr.A.K.Das and led by PHC-in-charge Dr. Ashok Kumar.The beneficiaries include the villagers from Hempur, Chitarpur, Murgaon, Semarsot, Dhadhu and Bhaisadon. |

To prevent the people of Latehar, from the malaria as it is the malaria-prone zone a drive was organized in which DDT was sprayed in the project villages and people were made aware for protection from malaria. Bleaching powder is also sprinkled in the water bodies. |

07 veterinary camps were organized to help the people whose financial status is greatly depend upon the cattles. The camps were organized in Hempur, Bhainsdon, Dhadhu, Chakla and Navatoli. |

Group has provided the vaccines to the people affected by the dog-biting in Chandwa and Balumath. So far 54 patients are supported with the vaccines. Each patient is given 5 doses of vaccines. |

To support the people of Chandwa and Balumath as here is no blood bank; Group had organized a blood donation camp in the Chandwa office on the occasion of the Independence day. 40 people including employees and local people from Chandwa and Balumarth Had donated the blood. The Apollo Hospital of Ranchi and Nagarmal Modi Sewa Sadan have assured the group that they will support whoever from the area will be in need of the blood. It was announced that who ever is needy of blood in the Chandwa and Balumath area would be supported if It will come to the knowledge. |

Another step to make a healthy society :Cataract camp by Abhijeet. |

For celebrating the spirit of Gandhi Jayanti a cataract camp was organized on 29th Sep’07 - 02nd Oct’07. The same was organized at Latehar District Hospital. 750 patients were registered for the camp and 85 were pathologically tested and found suitable for operations. Out of them 83 were operated successfully. The patients were supported for Conveyence, Fooding and lodging arrangements, Medicines. At the end Kambals, Medicines and fruits were distributed to the patients. A follow up camp was organized after a month at three places in district and whoever is diagnosed by the Doctors, were provided glasses and medicines. |

Mother of a villager was supported for chronic skin disease in the villages of project area.
A villager from the project area was supported for treatment of malaria.
A pregnant lady from the project area was supported for carrying her to the Hospital well versed with better equipments and qualified Doctors.
A boy of the project area was supported for Treatment of the tuberculosis from the RIMS.
A villager from the project area was supported for Treatment of tuberculosis.
08 people who were injured at various places in different mis-happenings were supported for medical aid. |

Family planning is the key to development for India , Tubectomy camp: |

What will be the best then to serve the humanity when a new year is approaching; keeping this in to the consideration A tubectomy camp was organized in District Hospital, Latehar from 28 Dec to 30 Dec’08. Out of 68 women registered 63 were found suitable for the operation. Arrangements for the Fooding,and lodging, conveyance amd medicines was done by the group. After a week a follow up camp was organized at two places, i.e. Hempur and Chakla and patients were provided the medicine as per diagnosis. Kambals were distributed among the patients. |

Renovation of the Green Field Academy, Chandwa. |

The Green field Academy School is the single English medium school in the 30 km of periphery. The school had almost 300 students before the renovation started. The renovated school is now having 400 students in it. The total cost of renovation is almost Rs. 4,00,000 only. The renovation activity include plastering of the rooms constructed there, roofing of the rooms and verandah, flooring of the rooms and verandah, repairing of the toilets, tiles in the toilets, doors in the toilets, installation of the hand-pumps, arrangement for the desk-bench, chairs-tables, almirah, plantation, children park development, land levelling and electrification of the classes and fan and bulbs donation. School has visited our project villages to encourage the people for having the quality education. CEO visited the school and announced that group will support the school for upgrading it up to 10th Standard |

The Ma Ugratara School is supported by the group as there are most of the students are from the project villages. The school is benefited by the group in reference to slogan writing, black boards, musical instruments and support for the library, furniture’s, sport goods and other educational materials. Land leveling in the field of Ma Ugratara School was also done by the group. |

The electrification from Chandwa to Balumath was a giant step towards the development of the area. The mega project of electrification of the area covering 43 Kms. in project area cost approximately 12 crores.
The laying down of the foundation stone on the 1st February’07 was the first step towards the electrification process. It was done by the MLA Shree Prakash Ram on the request of the group.
The Electrification from Kudu to Chandwa took record time for completion, i.e. 5 months. The distance of 22 km was covered by the constant dedication of the Electrical Department of the Abhijeet group.
On 1st July’07 the 33 KVA sub-station at Chandwa was handed-over to the Jharkhand State Electricity Board by the state chief minister Mr. Madhu Koda.
The constant dedication and hard-work of the Abhijeetians was appreciated all over and the public of Chandwa showed appreciation to the group people .The Electrification not only improve the electrification at Chandwa but also at the Balumath .
The group believes in constant improvement, is further busy in the electrification of the Balumath. The electrification work is finished and installment of some accessories is under progress. |

For meeting the requirements of drinking water a well is constructed at Dhadhu. It is well watered and is supplying water throughout the year to meet the drinking water requirements of the villagers. |

In the project villages well repairing is undertaken and completed on 13 places. Wells are repaired, cleaned and maintained for ensuring the avilibility of drinking water. This enhanced the available drinking water in the villages. Installation of Lot kudi for easy intake of water from the wells was also done at seven places. |

In the 7 project villages almost 110 hand-pumps were repaired. All these hand pumps are situated in Chitarpur, Hempur, Dhadhu, Chakla, Murgaon, Nagar, Bhainsadon. Besides of these 7 villages, hand-pumps were repaired at Ambatand, Chatro, Kusumtoli, Parwa-Haraiya, Lohsingra, Navatoli, Khajuriyatand, Makaiyatand etc. Besides of repairing the hand –pumps platforms were also repaired and constructed as per requirement to maintain hygienic condition. |

To help in drive Clean Chandwa-Green Chandwa group had placed 30 dustbins in all over Chandwa. The Alaodiya village where group had placed the Dustbins, was selected as Nirmal Gram and got President Medal. |
